Juvenile Justice is a ministry of YFC to reach youth and families in the juvenile justice system.

On the Inside.
YFC staff and volunteers in our Juvenile Justice Ministry work with youth in the juvenile justice system in King County and Snohomish County. They share the love of Christ through chapel times, mentoring and life skills counseling sessions. By meeting kids where they are at and showing the love of Christ despite the circumstances…good things can happen in a young person’s life.

Life Skills Coaching & Counseling through Youth Guidance.
Our trained staff and volunteers listen to, counsel, and advise youth who are interested. This means that Juvenile Justice Ministry works closely with our local juvenile detention centers with the Diversion and Detention Programs in order to come alongside young people and their families in crises.

When They Get Out.
Dedicated YFC staff and volunteers strive to come alongside young people when they get out of juvenile detention to mentor them and help them get connected to caring communities in the local church.  These mentoring relationships can help them break the negative patterns that cause youth to re-offend.
