Minta’s Prayer Update - March 2020

SO MUCH has changed in all of our lives over the last 3 weeks, but ministry hasn't missed a beat!

I praise God for his hedge of protection on us as we maintain appropriate distancing, stay at home, and all the while, continuing to love and share God's love with our amazing students and their families!

Here is what is going on:

CONNECTION

Our teams have been having phone calls and checking in with each of our students every week to make sure they are healthy (emotionally and spiritually), that their basic needs are being met, that they are safe, and that they are encouraged to participate in our online activities (Bible studies, small groups, cooking lessons, etc)!

PROVISION

Our normal weekly meal teams have been asked to still provide meals, but rather than a sit down meal, they are meals on the go. Then, we are sending out delivery teams to drop off the food to the homes of all our youth each week! We are also partnering with local food banks to use our ministry vehicles to distribute food to families in need in our community!

NOTE: Seattle YFC has begun collecting funds for families who have had lay offs or job loss as a result of the Coronovirus pandemic. All the donations collected will go straight to families to help purchase food or pay minor bills. If you would like to read more or donate, click here!

PRAYER

We are people of faith. All of this is new to us, so we call on the Father daily for help and guidance. Please join us as we pray that our students and families would grow closer to Jesus during this time!

  • Pray that they would be safe from any abuse or domestic violence.
  • Pray that their neighborhoods would be filled with peace (no gang violence or looting).
  • Pray that as people are losing their jobs and being forced to stay home, that they would experience God's provision and love for their family in new ways!
