God Carried Us

It doesn't take a trophy to make You proud. I'll never be more loved than I am right now.” - Maverick City

Over the course of the 2020/2021 school, I asked myself many times if I was doing enough in ministry. It definitely didn’t feel like it. It was difficult to encourage students when I was struggling to even feel encouraged. As I look back, I can say that God did more than enough in the lives of students and in mine.  While more often than not, it felt like I was just surviving in ministry all while my desire was to thrive and see others thrive in Jesus. I know God chose me to serve during such a time to remember that through it all He is enough!

We are 3 weeks out from concluding the school year and these student leaders (Ronaldo, Angie, Alicia, Angeles, Valeria) were my drive to carry on. I see the growth in their lives. They believed when I couldn’t. They helped moved the kingdom of God forward. What an honor is has been to serve with them. We are getting ready to take our hats off for two of our student leaders who will be graduating from International School on June 18th.

Ronaldo was one of the first students who came to City Life back in 2018. He is creative, driven, an advocate and a social butterfly.

Angeles came to City Life because Rony invited her. She is thoughtful, appreciative and an adventure seeker.

I haven’t officially introduced my hubby, Jesus (read his name in Spanish) in my letters. We have known each other for over a decade. I am in love with this man that God has given me the opportunity to do life with. We are excited about the arrival of our little girl who is due on June 22nd.

So, with that, would you pray with us and for us as we embark this new season of our lives?

  • Pray for a healthy labor.
  • Pray that we will experience something new about God through this experience.
  • Pray that I will remain in truth and have confidence that God designed my body for a moment like this.
  • Pray for our midwives and doula as they guide us through the process of meeting our baby girl.
