Thank You & See You Later, April!

This month, we were able to gather and celebrate Spring Break and Earth Day! We were fortunate to have some warm weather this month so just like everyone else who lives in WA, we took advantage of it!

Over Spring Break, we invited our freshman girls to Mukilteo Beach for s’mores and fun. I realized that teen girls can be pretty awkward with each other when they haven't seen each other in a while. It took us a few minutes to get warmed up since we hadn't interacted with each other in-person in so long. After those first few awkward moments, we were back to cracking jokes and laughing like the old days. I am also super thankful for this group of girls. I can definitely see them being the next generation to lead City Life in Monroe and can’t wait to see how they continue to grow and lead.

Our Student Leaders also gathered to celebrate Earth Day by doing a local community clean up in Monroe. Community clean ups have been a fun experience and many of our students enjoy participating. This year, we weren't able to do as many of them, but Earth Day gave us the perfect opportunity to resume. I’m grateful for our leadership team for making this event happen and for being good sports by picking up trash and bettering their neighborhoods.

  • Pray for our students who have resumed in-person school.

  • Pray for our leadership team as we prep to resume City Life on Mondays and start to get back to our daily ministry.

Right now we would appreciate having a consistent meal team through May and June and then next school year once our daily programs start running again.
