Engaging young people in relational outreach at a variety of youth-serving institutions

JJM seeks to engage young people as they are met in a variety of youth-serving institutions (detention centers, probation, correctional facilities, group homes, residential treatment centers and emergency shelters).  These valued relationships are sustained through ongoing involvement as they reenter their communities.

We are partnering with the local church and King County Youth Chaplaincy to see that every young person behind bars knows the hope they have in Jesus. By visiting them in jail, we are able to communicate that their past does not need to define their future. Through clear presentations of the gospel and faithful relationships, youth are able to end the generational cycles of poverty and brokenness. Juvenile Justice ministry is happening collaboratively at Denney Detention Center, King County Detention Center, and Echo Glen Children's Center.
